Rising to the challenges of today.

On June 3, we had the great pleasure of celebrating the Master’s College graduating class of 2022. As their time with us begins to wind down, we are excited to launch them into their future. As a highly talented and widely diverse group of students, their studies are taking them into fields such as engineering, health care, political science, design, business, commerce and computer science. We commend them for the many scholarships they have earned! As they begin their individual journeys, it is evident that they have become Imaginal Leaders who are taking steps toward pursuing their“personal vision without limitations”.

While working through the academic preparation that creates future opportunities, the class of 2022 experienced the uncertainty that COVID brought to the world. More than ever, providing students a strong foundation to lean on became apparent to us. “Rocks by their very nature are solid, secure and steadfast”, which is why in Isaiah 26:4 we read “Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.” When God is your rock, you can in turn “Be like a headland of rock on which the waves break incessantly; but it stands fast and around it the seething of the waters sink to rest” (Marcus Aurelius). We strove to show our students that relying on the steadfastness of God and His unchanging nature can keep us strong and grounded no matter our circumstances.

We’re very proud of the way our graduates have been role models in their participation and in their leadership of extracurricular activities. Strength and resilience have been evident in our graduates this year as they engaged again in athletics, art, music, drama and clubs. We have seen them develop strong interpersonal skills in addition to being able to organize and problem solve. They have looked beyond themselves to see the needs of others as demonstrated through their volunteerism and their impact projects.

The future is always uncertain and will continue to shift in new ways, which is why it is important to have a firm foundation that is sure and steady.  The foundation of academic excellence and the development of transferable skills, with God as their cornerstone on whom to rely, is what Master’s graduates have to take with them as they launch into their future.

Congratulations to the class of 2022!
